Tala is Good

In October, Ofsted visited Tala House, one of our 5-bed homes in Essex and we’re really proud to say the team secured another Good rating across all areas.

The feedback was lovely and really captured the heart of what the team does every day. Inspectors saw how staff support children through positive transitions, how they communicate with care and clarity, and how they use a therapeutic model that’s flexible to each child’s needs.

Staff are great at spotting opportunities to help children grow setting achievable goals, celebrating wins, and building confidence and independence along the way. They’re tuned in to the emotional needs of the children and use thoughtful approaches to help them understand risks and reflect on their experiences.

Support plans are regularly reviewed and adapted, which means every child is truly understood and supported in a way that’s right for them.

The home is led by an experienced Registered Manager. His commitment to creating positive experiences and outcomes for children really shines through.

Managers also use strong systems to monitor and audit records, helping keep everything on track.
