Last month we had the absolute joy of celebrating something really special 10 years of Marula House.
A whole decade of providing care, building relationships, supporting growth and creating a space where young people feel safe, valued and able to be themselves.
Marula House has grown and evolved so much over the years. What’s stayed the same is the heart of it, the relationships, the nurture, the everyday moments that matter most. But the journey it’s been on, alongside the people who have shaped it, is something we’re incredibly proud of.
It also marked 10 years of PSS Care Group, which feels just as significant. From one home to now four registered homes, with a 5th SEMH home currently going through registration, it’s been a journey full of learning, growth and a lot of belief in doing things differently.
To celebrate, we brought people together at Marula House, the wider Marula community and our Senior Leadership Team for a proper celebration. There were decorations, games, music, disco lights, plenty of laughter and, of course, cake. A chance to pause, connect and recognise everything that’s been built over the last 10 years.
Moments like this matter. They remind us of where we’ve come from, the people who have been part of the journey, and most importantly, why we do what we do. We also want to take a moment to say a huge thank you. To all the staff at Marula House, past and present, and the managers who have helped shape and evolve the home over the years. Your hard work, care and commitment have made Marula what it is today. And to our Senior Leadership Team, thank you for the vision, the evolution, and the systems and structures that have supported both our homes and our people to grow.
Here’s to Marula House and to PSS Care Group, everyone who has been part of its story, and the next chapter still to come.
